Biographies
2009-2010
There are a lot of stories about Brad Bellinger. Some of them may be blatant lies; some of them may actually be true. You never know with this guy. Brad is the type of guy who had to escape the country for a few months, for reasons I cannot disclose; he is the guy who gets asked to pretend to be a girl’s boyfriend, getting offered money and beer in the process.

Brad’s also the guy who refused that money and beer. He’s the guy who wouldn’t tell anyone the day of his birthday so we couldn’t buy him a stripper. He won’t U-turn in a driveway, and he’ll barely speed. He’s the most serious of my teammates, almost always being nearly mature. He’s going to be a great teacher, but those teacher’s sensibilities didn’t stop him from wreaking heartbreak in Ireland, though, let him tell you.

Brad is the last of the old guard at Pitt. That means a lot of stories, and a lot of work put in over the last five years of his Ultimate career; and that has transformed him into one of the best defenders Pitt has ever produced. Most importantly, Brad is one of the guys I call up first for late-night India Garden and some good times.

2006-2007
I’m the guy wearing the silly hat. I’m the guy who’s yelling more obnoxiously than your entire team. I’m the guy yelling ‘touchdown!’ when we score. Apparently, I’m the reason Jake isn’t allowed to go to Turcos wedding. I’m just one part of the team that is Pitt Ultimate.

It is a privilege to be a part of Pitt Ultimate. This team is full of character, ambition, determination, and general silliness. After a somewhat disappointing end to the season last year, the team has renewed its efforts to become one of the best in college ultimate. Never before have I been a part of a team with such a drive to better itself. What other teams were waking up at sunrise on spring break to go running on the beach? While other teams are taking the day off, were hitting the gym or running on the track. Hard Work, 2007.

2005-2006 Season I’ve had the pleasure of watching Sabah play a few times over past three years when they’ve played in Eastern Pennsylvania. Over the course of that time, Brent has taught me the game and how to throw. In my senior year of high school, I decided ‘Screw baseball!’ and started an ultimate team. With the aid of a friend and a teacher, we led our team to an outstanding record of 1 – 15. Regardless to say, I was then happy to move to a competitive team.

After switching majors and holding out until the deadline to decide which college to choose, I came to Pitt. To the players on Sabah, Ultimate isn’t just a game, it’s a way of life. I couldn’t be happier. Now all I have to do is convince everybody that I’m not Brent.
